The Best App to automatically save you money on Amazon is Earny
There are a couple Amazon-specific money saving apps that I know of. One is Honey, which notifies you of price changes in Amazon products that you specify. The one I am currently using and the one that I am going to break down here is called Earny. Earny goes a step further than Honey and just refunds you the money you overpaid within 90 days of purchase and it does it automagically.
So you buy something and a month later that same something is $50 less, Earny will automatically get that refunded to your card.
With this service, you must use a Chase Card or Citi Bank Card to buy on Amazon, so you may need to do a few things to get your account setup and ready to automate. I was setup within a few minutes.
Steps in setting up your Earny App
- If you don't have a Chase or Citi Credit Card, get one. If/once you have one, go in to your Amazon app and add your Chase/Citi card and delete all other cards in there.. or just make the Chase/Citi Card your main or primary card. I deleted all the other ones just to make sure.
- Next, download and login to the Earny App. Once you're in, you will setup your email, use the email that your Chase/Citi Card statements will go to. Then you will setup your Credit Card details so you can get the refunds automagically.
- If you share an account with your spouse or whomever, help them go through the above 2 steps so as to make sure you are potentially saving money on every Amazon purchase.
